Bug Light History Art Print
A high-contrast maritime history poster tracing Bug Light from the original offshore beacon to the Greenport-built near-replica. The harbor-board composition keeps the lighthouse, nickname, and three milestone years readable from across the room.
Museum-quality matte paper. Frame not included. Printed to order in 8″ × 10″, 11″ × 14″, and 16″ × 20″.
The story — Long Beach Bar Light was built in 1870 on tall screw piles; at high tide its silhouette resembled a giant water bug, inspiring the local “Bug Light” nickname. Fire destroyed the light on July 4, 1963. In 1990, a near-replica was built at Greenport Yacht and Shipbuilding, launched in sections, and assembled on the existing foundation.
